CERTIFICATIONS

 

Follow these instructions to add a Certification and/or assign a Certification to Personnel.

 

1.       On the ribbon bar, go to the Training Tab.

2.       In the Certifications group, click on the Browse ribbon bar button to open the Certification List browse table, which will be the list of applicable certifications you create for your department, either formal or internal. (Note: Clicking the (+) Certification ribbon bar button will open directly to inserting a new Certification record.)

3.       Click Insert (+) to add a new Certification record.

4.       On the left side of the Certification Form, enter details of the Certification that will stay the same regardless of the individual assigned.

a.       Title – At a minimum, assign a Title to the Certification, such as Firefighter I.

b.       Certification Type – Department defined list that can be used to track details, such as Department Qualification, Fire Academy, National, etc.

c.       Requires Valid License – Check this box if the certification requires a valid license.

d.       Recertification – If the certification requires recertification once earned, check the box and enter any requirements.

e.       Attachments – Add attachments applicable to the certification itself, such initial or recertification requirement documents.

f.        Work in Place – Primarily applicable for Staffing (can also be used for internal purposes) and allows tracking if one certification level allows an individual to work in place of another certification level or check the box if this takes the place of a lower level certification.

5.       On the right side of the Certification Form, click the (+) to insert Personnel having earned the Certification. Checkbox the applicable personnel. Once personnel selected, if desired, click in the blanks to add dates.

a.       Initial Certification Date – The date the certification was first earned.

b.       Last Recertification Date – Date the person last recertified.

c.       Expiration Date – Date the certification expires.

6.       Click Save in the ribbon bar.
