NFIRS INCIDENT EXPORT

Follow the below steps to export Incidents for submission to NFIRS via email attachment or website upload.

1.       On the ribbon bar, go to the Operations tab and click the Export Incidents ribbon bar button.

2.       FDID will already be populated with the primary assigned FDID. For departments or Customers with more than one FDID, choose the desired FDID from the lookup list.

3.       Enter the Start Date and End Date for incidents to be included.

4.       The following options are available in the Incidents to EXPORT section.

a.       All Incidents – Will include every incident from the selected timeframe.

b.       All Incidents That Have Not Been Exported – Will include any incident from the selected timeframe, which has not previously been included in a FirePrograms export. Note that the software only knows which incidents have been included in an export, but not which were successfully transmitted to the required agency.

c.       Newly Changed Incidents – Will include previously exported incidents which have been edited.

d.       Newly Deleted Incidents – Will include previously exported incidents which have now been deleted (for example, due to erroneous or duplicate entry).

e.       Previously Exported Incidents – Will include incidents that were previously exported.

5.       Click the Load Incidents button and the incidents to be exported will appear in the Incident Record Export List browser.

6.       Incidents with the Has Warnings box checked will be highlighted (color will change based on department preference settings), both indicating there are still errors in the incident report. These errors must be corrected before the report will be included in the export file.

7.       Change Export Type will only be used in the case that the loaded incident needs to be changed from New Export to Modify Previous Export or Delete Export.

8.       Once all incidents to be exported display no warnings, click the Export button in the ribbon bar.

9.    Select the location to save the file, which will then be available to email or upload as required.

FPWEB Users: “This PC” MUST be clicked, then a drive selected in the Devices and drives group. Note that all “Quick Access” and “Folders” options, are relative to the FirePrograms web server and you will not have access to those locations.
